Policy Statement

CRGI Solutions shall manage the risks associated with display screen equipment (DSE) use to protect the health of all staff. As a virtual consultancy where all work is performed via computer, DSE risk management is a primary health consideration.

Key Requirements

  1. All staff who habitually use DSE as a significant part of their normal work shall be classified as DSE users.
  2. DSE self-assessments shall be completed by all staff before commencing work and reviewed annually or when workstation setup changes.
  3. Identified risks from DSE assessments shall be addressed to reduce them to the lowest reasonably practicable level.
  4. Staff shall be provided with guidance on correct workstation setup, posture, and the importance of regular breaks.
  5. Eye and eyesight tests shall be provided on request to DSE users; where tests identify a need for corrective appliances specifically for DSE work, CRGI Solutions shall contribute to the cost.
  6. Screen breaks shall be taken regularly — staff should aim to break from continuous screen work at least every hour.
  7. DSE-related discomfort, pain, or health concerns shall be reported to the Operations Manager for assessment and action.
