Policy Statement

CRGI Solutions shall provide appropriate personal protective equipment to all staff required to undertake site-based activities. PPE is the last resort in the hierarchy of controls and shall only be relied upon where risks cannot be adequately controlled by other means.

Key Requirements

  1. PPE requirements shall be determined by risk assessment before any site activity commences.
  2. PPE shall be provided free of charge, be CE/UKCA marked, and comply with relevant EN/BS standards.
  3. Minimum PPE for client site visits shall include: safety footwear (EN ISO 20345), hard hat (EN 397) where required, high-visibility clothing (EN ISO 20471), and safety glasses (EN 166) where required.
  4. Additional PPE shall be provided based on site-specific risk assessments and client requirements.
  5. Staff shall be trained in the correct selection, use, care, storage, and limitations of PPE issued to them.
  6. PPE shall be inspected before each use; damaged or worn items shall be reported and replaced promptly.
  7. PPE inventory and issue records shall be maintained.
